Yesterday was Pastor Appreciation Day, and October is Pastor Appreciation Month. If you’re not sure what to do or pray for your Pastor, you’re in luck, because that’s what we’re going to talk about this week.

Text DisciplesPray to 844-507-4901 to get a daily prayer prompt this month. Day 1 said:
“Pray that your pastor experiences God as He truly is through genuine repentance and deepened intimacy with Him.”

What can you do for your Pastor(s) this month to show your appreciation?
The most obvious is to send a card. Try to include a personal note in there about why you appreciate him, what his shepherding has meant to you. Thank him for his message, service, faithfulness. If you’re at a loss for words, you can search the internet for “Pastor appreciation thank you note examples.

It’s also a good practice to send a text or email after a sermon or counseling session that you found particularly meaningful. Pastors need encouragement just like the rest of us.

Until the pandemic, my most popular blog post (on my previous blog) was:
What to pray for Pastor – Check it out for prayer ideas this month and beyond. Another post is called: Pray for a Pastor

If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11 NKJV

Please join me this week in praying for our Pastors. Pray that they don’t tire of shepherding, that they maintain their faithfulness, and continue to always lean on the Holy Spirit. Pray that they feel the love of their congregation. Let’s also pray that they remain healthy–physically, mentally, and spiritually. Pray that God provide for their needs and lift them up daily.
