What does the Bible say about seeking God?

What does the Bible say about seeking God?

The first verse that comes to mind is Romans Chapter 3:

As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one;
There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.

Romans 3:10-11 NKJV

We need God in order to seek God. Luke tells us:

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Luke 19:10 ESV

As we draw closer to Resurrection Sunday, I spend even more time thinking about what Jesus did for me, for us, and for everyone who desires a relationship with Him. There are people all over the world, even in the U.S., who have never heard His holy name. Yet, they know He exists because He placed that information in the heart of everyone.

Believers, followers of Christ, continue to seek Him. Seek His will for your life so that you may know how he wants you to bring others to know Him.

Prayer

Father, I pray that You will draw unbelievers to seek You. I pray that Your children will continually seek Your will so that we can fill Heaven with souls that were previously lost. Father, we know it’s not Your will that any should perish, so we are to be fishers of men that more may come to know the one, true, living God of the universe. Please guide our steps so that we may be obedient. Remind us to seek You continually, to engage with You always. Father, please bring peace to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. Please move in the hearts of the people in Morocco as they participate in Ramadan this month. Hear our prayers, oh Lord on behalf of the lost and suffering. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
