Finding Time For God

I attended a workshop this past weekend by Nancy Guthrie on Biblical Theology. It was truly a blessing. During the question and answer period, someone’s question included the words, “finding time.” Nancy’s response was that we all have the same amount of time. We make time for the things that are important to us.

Yesterday, Pastor Brian also talked briefly about time. Our time on earth is so minuscule when you compare it to the vastness of eternity. Yet, we put so much time and effort into this life instead of investing that energy toward our next life.

I believe Satan keeps us “busy” to detract us from doing the things we should be doing. He deceives us into thinking these earthly things are important when really they’re not. Yes, we have to work. Yes, we have responsibilities. But, they don’t have to consume us. We should be consumed with the Holy Spirit, listening to Him, not Satan.

How do you spend your time? Are you making the best use of time? Do you try to find time for God? Or, do you make time for God? We’ll be talking about probable answers to these questions and how to turn them around, throughout this week.

making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Please join me this week in praying for help and guidance to use our time wisely. Let’s also pray for those we know who profess to be Christians but who don’t spend any time with their Father. Pray that they come to know the peace, joy, and hope that comes from building a solid relationship with Him.
