Wait for the Lord

Today is my last day in Mississippi. Around 2:00 I take off for Dayton via Houston and Chicago. My daughter is all moved into Lynn’s apartment. We decided to continue with plan “A” until told otherwise. The day I asked for prayers for Lynn, her daughter asked the doctor to try a new breathing treatment on her mom. The doctor refused for some reason. The daughter got hold of a different doctor who said he would do it. That evening, Lynn seemed to have turned a corner. We were able to talk to her on FaceTime. She was smiling and conversational. We were praising God.
Friday, she got another treatment and was doing well. Saturday, we didn’t hear from her or her daughter. Sunday was her last breathing treatment and she was starting to go downhill. Her O2 decreased and she was put back on the BiPap machine. I just really feel that she will recover. Please continue to pray for her and rejoice with me that God healed her enough to be off the machine for several days.
It’s been such a strange week with so much going on and so much up in the air but I’m blessed to be able to take comfort in our loving and merciful Father. No matter what we go through, we can rest in knowing that He is in control of everything. We can count on His perfect timing for all things. Nothing happens that He doesn’t know about.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14 ESV

Please join me this week in praising God for His perfect timing. Let’s pray for the peace and assurance we can derive from knowing that God is in control, that He will answer all of our prayers according to His plan.
