There are times that I pray for “all of the people,” instead of for individuals by name. It occurred to me that everyone needs Jesus, but so many keep their personal struggles to themselves. They need prayer, but we don’t know that they do.
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:16 NKJV
Father, we wish to present You all of the people. They need You. We need You. We’re all in need of a Savior. Father, we pray for those who are sick. We pray for those who are hurting, either physically, or emotionally, mentally, spiritually. We pray for the people who are in a bad relationship, and for those who long for a special relationship. We pray for the lost, dear Lord, and for the missionaries who are trying to reach them. We pray for the poor, as well as the rich. Father, please guide our government officials all around the world. May they work toward peace instead of war. We pray for the planet. The utopia garden that was Your gift in the beginning, is no more. Father, we know You’ve got all this, and we’re grateful. Please tell us what we can do to further the Kingdom. We pray all of these things in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
