Harmony With One Another

Happy Valentine’s Day…
unless it’s an unhappy day for you.
Do you have a strained relationship with someone in your life? Do you have a child or step-child who isn’t returning your calls, but you have no idea why? Do you have a sibling who pushes all your buttons at family gatherings? Are you suffering through an unhappy marriage?

Whatever relationship is difficult right now, let’s make a pact to pray for that relationship every day this week (and beyond). Talk to God about what you can do to repair any damage, and pray for a resolution and healing.

I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating: Satan attacks us through our relationships. He delights in tearing apart marriages, families, friends. It creates friction and discord. We aren’t able to be Christlike when we’re battling jealousy, resentment, anger, and pride.

If all is well with you, pray for these brothers and sisters who are going through a rough time with someone they love: K., S., J., C., T. If you know of other people we can be praying for, send me their first initial. Let’s heal the church from within.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Father – we come before You on this day meant to celebrate love and ask that You use this time to heal the strained relationships between us and our friends and family. Lord, please give those involved encouragement and inspiration to mend their relationships. Please don’t allow the sun to go down before the lines of communication are reopened. Father, we pray for healing. We pray that the Church will radiate Your love throughout the world. We pray all of these things in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
