According to Prayer Assist, the “Top 5 Difficulties Pastors Face Today” are:
▪ Loneliness
▪ Stress
▪ Feelings of Inadequacy
▪ Depression
▪ Spiritual Warfare

How can we help our Pastors in these areas? The first thing that comes to mind is prayer. We should be praying for our Pastors constantly. They are called to oversee their flock. They counsel us, minister to us, pray for us. How often do we say thank you? Take time to thank them for their hard work, for wearing multiple hats, for their encouragement.

Today’s suggestion is to make a short video message on your smartphone and send it to your Pastor. Just something simple, from you and your family or friends to let your Pastor know that you’re thinking about him.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.
Acts 20:28 ESV

Please join me this week in praying for our Pastors. Pray that they don’t tire of shepherding, that they maintain their faithfulness, and continue to always lean on the Holy Spirit. Pray that they feel the love of their congregation. Let’s also pray that they remain healthy–physically, mentally, and spiritually. Pray that God provides for their needs and lifts them up daily.
